Arrive at Thomson Farms

Arrive at Thomson Farms (4057 Third Line West, Sault Ste. Marie) by 2:45 PM to find your seat and get settled. The ceremony starts at 3:00 PM sharp. Don’t be *that* person sneaking in behind the bride.
Ceremony

Please join us as we say "I do" surrounded by the beauty of nature and the people we love most.
Cocktail Hour

Stick around after the ceremony for yard games, drinks, charcuterie and hors d'oeuvres on the lawn at Thomson Farm while we take a few photos!
Reception

Let’s eat, drink, and dance the night away! Five-course dinner, including dessert, provided by Grand Gardens.
Late Night Snack

Refuel for the final stretch! A late-night snack will be served at 10:00 PM, because great dancing deserves great food.
Bus Departure

Catch a complimentary bus ride home, no need to worry about the drive!

About the Venue

We are so excited to celebrate our wedding at Thomson Farms, a beautiful family-owned cider and winery just outside Sault Ste. Marie.

Our ceremony will take place on the patio, which overlooks rolling fields and a serene spring-fed pond—an incredible backdrop for our special moment.

The reception will be held in Thomson’s barn, a charming 100-year-old barn that has been lovingly restored and converted into a wine barn. With its rustic character and warm atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to dance the night away!

A Note on Footwear: To reach the ceremony area, guests will walk on gravel and uneven ground, and the barn has original wood floors that are also uneven. We recommend wearing flats, block heels, or wedges for comfort and stability.

Transportation

We want to make it as easy as possible for our guests to get to and from Thomson Farms safely.

Getting There

There is limited parking available at the venue. Since this is a farm, parking is on grass along either side of the driveway. If possible, we encourage guests to carpool, use a ride service, or get dropped off to help minimize the number of vehicles.

Getting Home

At the end of the night, we’ve arranged for buses to take guests home within city limits. Please note that the buses will not travel down dead-end roads, so drop-offs will be made at the nearest main road.

Dress Code

Our wedding vibe is semi-formal, dressy but not too fancy. Cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, suits, or dress pants with a button-up are all great choices. Ties are welcome but not required, unless you need an emergency napkin!

Now, let’s talk about shoes. Our venue is a farm, which means you’ll be walking on grass, gravel, and an old barn floor with some character (aka, a little uneven). We highly recommend wearing flats, block heels, or wedges so you’re not aerating the lawn with every step. Stilettos might be stylish, but trust us—they won’t be your friend here!
